so, are you ready and will you be singing for peace with One Day One Choir this year?
We’ve been busy setting up collaborations in the last few months and we’re delighted to tell you that we are working with the European Broadcasting Union again specifically for Peace Day. They will be sharing music, and interviews with hundreds of their partner stations on September 21st this year from leading musicians, including our lovely supporters Sir Karl Jenkins, Roxanna Panufnik, Vladimir Jurowski and also the wonderful soprano Joyce Didonato who has her own inspiring peace and music project.
We’re also collaborating with more organisations than ever this year as partnerships for peace strengthen the work of all of us. So we’re delighted to announce that we’re now part of the Peace One Day partnerships and Campaign non-violence, as well as lots of other dynamic music and educational supporters such as Sing Up, Making Music, Playing for Change and Music in Offices.
Our lovely Peace Walk ambassador, Paul Haines, has been stepping out beyond the UK for the last month, walking around Northern Europe, and is bringing even more cathedrals on board this year which is wonderful – more than 40 cathedrals now sing for peace with us on Peace Day.
So, please step out in your own communities, talk to others and bring them on board with you to raise their voices to sing together for peace – personal, local and global peace on September 21st . (And do please join in and sing on the 20th if you are a school. Let’s call it Peace Eve 🙂
Please remember to sign up and tell us so that we can put your on our world map if you’re not already there!
