As we begin a new year, one in which the world is still full of uncertainties, we are delighted to announce that we are collaborating with a number of groups this year and in particular today, that we have an exciting new partner for UNESCO’s World Radio Day – the European Broadcasting Union – who have created the lovely new joint logo you can see in this post.
So, while we appear to have been quiet, we have in fact been working away, gathering amazing stories and messages of peace from communities, peace organisations and global peace leaders. These have now been packaged, with songs from One Day One Choir associates, and shared with radio stations around the world (not just Europe) ready for broadcast on February 13th. Like seeds and bulbs in the ground waiting to flower, you will see and hear them appearing soon and we will be sharing these inspiring and heartfelt songs and messages with you in our next blog in February, so look out for the next post!
We always find it so heartening to remember that whatever is going on politically around us, there are no boundaries to uniting in song for peace and harmony for the benefit of all, as we have shown in the last 4 and a half years. This is exactly the message we will continue to share with you, as well as working to encourage more and more people to raise their voices for peace – and think, talk and take actions to make their lives and our communities and world a more peaceful and harmonious place.
We are also building a bank of favourite songs and ‘pieces for peace’ in the run up to Peace Day, so do have a look at our Facebook page and let us know what yours are so that we can include them on our list and share them with others.
Thank you for your continuing support and helping to keep us to keep spreading the word, and for continuing to raise your voices, loudly and widely, for peace – personal, local and global peace.
